Since campgrounds were shut down for nearly four months, the weather also not the best for camping at home, I tried a couple recipes in the galley in garage.  I don't  take half my house with me on a trip, so I use a stove top dutch oven to cook foil packs and bake.  I have not used the Omnia oven for much yet.

The one I liked best is a Hawaiian sweet potato thing with pineapple chunks and ham chunks, and brown sugar.  I wonder what would happen if a person threw in some marshmallows.  This one, I will use next trip. The other one was a salmon dinner; it was edible and ok, but not a favorite.

Will be trying more.  Often times, I do a simple red potato, cheese, bacon foil pack, it's quick, and I'm lazy.

I too love foil packets. My sister even gave me a cookbook that has lots of good ideas.

I have that book and another.  Not a lot in them i like, but oh well.  Since I don't like messes, I put tinfoil in the bottom of the dutch oven to catch any leaks from the packets.

Another book has recipes for cooking on a stick, pie irons, dutch ovens, foil, and others.  I have a pie iron which I have not tried yet, but will on a trip soon.

Looks like a good cook book. I might have to check that one out.
