I'd like to add a roof rack to my Little Guy. Can't find anything on the net. Any ideas or good direction to point me?
Thanks
Mike
Mine is a Yakima roof rack. If you get one, you have to get screws in just the right places on top. You can only load about 125 pounds. The other kind will take 300 pounds and bolt into the sides. Yakima might look better, but the other kind is more useful. I'll look for a link.
I have, on my roof rack, a Yakima Skinny roof basket. It barely fits to the side of the roof vent. But since I am only 5'4", with the Rough Rider being higher, I have to use a little step ladder to get much in and out of it. Perhaps a taller person has no problem. I have to be careful not to kill myself when I get on the ladder to load my Clam Quick-set shelter, but don't use it terribly often. Perhaps a narrow roof box would be better to keep things dry, but i could not get in garage with that.
After a lot of looking, I just ordered and received the Pro Rack version from Tear Drop Shop.
Based on my research the Pro Rack looks to be the best heavy duty rack option for the 5 Wide.
On the other hand the 338 dollar delivered cost made me think long and hard before I spent the money.
Tear Drop Shop based on a bunch of Duck Duck Go and finally Google search is the only USA retailer for Pro Rack that I found.
The ProRack install is (my opinion) complicated. I will post results when I do get my ProRack installed.
any one have a phone number for teardrop shop? I purchased the pro rack. got the bar but the instructions and accessory nuts and bolts kit are for a trailer hitch. Sent in two emails but no answer.
Oh my gosh, I don't know what to think. Your messages are dated March 2021, and we aren't there yet! Those instructions are certainly interesting. Teardrop Shop used to list a phone number. If i can find an old one, i will post it.
The number I found is no longer in service. That is not helpful. You might try calling Little Guy to ask for a number. Now my post is dated May of 2021.
Ok, I hope this helps. Go to the page to buy it. Disregard my other posts.

Below the description in green is a link to a PDF file with instructions. I could not copy the address of a pdf file.
But that probably doesn't help with the bolts and such needed.
I called the little guy sales number but got a recording. I left my phone number, hope they call back.
I do not understand why they do not answer emails.
Wildcat thanks for your help
I have a copy of the pdf but what I need is the nuts and bolts package. I cannot use the bars without the nuts and bolts. Looks like 338 dollars may well be wasted.
For what it is worth I have given up on teardrop shop responding to me on their not sending me the nuts and bolts kit needed to install the ProRack roof rack kit I purchased from them.
I could not find a phone number for teardrop shop.
I put in a complaint to the Ohio Better Business Bureau today. Lets see if they can get in contact with teardrop shop and help me get the kit I paid for.
@davidreidok I just got word back from my contact at little guy. The teardrop shop was shut down for a bit due to COVID restrictions. They are now slowly getting back up and running with more individuals being allowed to work. Try emailing them again. Also I believe 1-877-545-4897 is their number. I maybe wrong but it was several years ago at least.
groveratc,
much appreciated information
I will see what happens and will call the number tomorrow
thanks again
dave
I think that's the same number I tried and didn't work. If they have one person working, they could surely send out your parts! I hope it works.
