I own a Little Guy 5Wide and I am wondering if someone can tell me what the differences are on the rough rider? And can I mod mine into a rough rider?

Thanks

Mine is Five Wide Rough Rider.  It has 15 inch wheels in place of 13..  Steel plate underneath, makes it a bit heavier.  It weighs about 500 pounds more than a Five Wide.  I read 1450 pounds.  Mine came with brakes.  It is a couple inches higher plus the bigger wheels.  I'm somewhat short legged, so need a little step to sit in doorway.  Has pintle hitch.  Of course the galley is higher also, so if it's tipped the wrong way, it's hard to reach the water pump switch, but most times ok.  It has squared off fenders, so you can set stuff on them without falling off.  You cannot stand on them, however.  If I think of something else, I'll come back.

Many people buy lift kits and raise the trailer themselves.  15 inch wheels would require different fenders.  I dislike my cheap fenders because even going slowly, rock dents show up just from hitting inside of fenders.  I think NuCamp is now using diamond plate for fenders in their T@Gs, which would be better and look better.  A pintle hitch would need a good welding job, I imagine.  Some change to a lock and roll.
