Where does the condensate from the roof top air conditioner drain to?

What I have noticed is that it does not drain into anything, it more or less drains off the back of the unit. In some cases I have seen in very hot muggy weather that it runs to the sides and down the little troughs to the bottom and drips off. It also runs straight off the back to the window and then around the window. Make sure the window is sealed well.
