I have a Silver Shadow that has a rear hitch on the trailer for a bike rack.  Has anyone experienced any problem with hauling bikes with this hitch and bike rack?  It looks like it is welded very well and is rated for 125lbs.

Many people have said they bounce too much back there and can break loose.  I have not tried it, however.

Some folks get the hitch to carry bicycles between tow vehicle and trailer.  But if you have a back end that opens, you probably can't open it with bicycles there.

There have been lots of people who tried carrying bikes in the rear. Overall long term it never seemed to have good results seemed like something always broke loose and the bikes were lost or damaged.

Be worse, I expect, if it damaged the trailer.  It would bother me, thinking about it and not being able to see it.  I'd have to stop and look pretty often.  I gave up on taking bicycle.
